Sabah Trip Part II

Sabah Trip Part II

Apologies for the delay of part II of the Sabah update. After our last meal at Laban Rata:
which was actually not as bad as it looks. Just normal fried noodles with pan-fried eggs. I remembered drinking 4 cups of teas, cos of dehydration and also i was still feeling cold from the peak. After breakfast, we continue a 6km hike back to our starting point. Took 3.5 hours. And we head to. . .Le Meridien hotel! Finally from 0-star to 5-star. Well, actually the accomodation all that on Mount K wasn't as bad as i thought. Could have been worse. But was glad to come to this hotel cos it was time for some undisturbed rest. Room was big, bed was big, and toilet was big too!

And since when did hotels use plasma tv's in normal standard deluxe rooms?!
After everyone took their LONGGGGgggg shower, we went to a nearby seafood restaurant for FOOD!-slurps- Where's my food???
crab attack! Candid shot (taken by mum). Plates were swiped clean.. And then came the next morning:Breakfast! (Sorry, food again). We were greeted by at least 3 waitresses at the entrance and were directed to so-called 'VIP' breakfast area for our breakfast. Reason: my dad's a Le Meredien member. I realised later on that i was extremely lucky to be seated in the special area. In the other area (which i will call normal area) is flooded with china people. They speak louder than they can shout. They take more food than they can eat. They expect 10-star service when they actually paid for 1-star. So i couldn't imagine how bad it would be if i had to eat my breakfast in the same area as them. After breakfast, we were all still sore from climbing. So we all decided to go back to our rooms to chill and play some blackjack before heading out. High stakes (IC and credit card included):
That was showhand before we head out to explore the handicraft center.Brother with some coin pouches made out of real frog skins! Who uses that kind of shit?
Voodoo statues. They're freaky and damn ugly. But i was impressed by the carving of their facial expressions. Looks real after staring at it for a long time.Mum bought one of these. Try guessing..It's a wooden basket, without using any nails. It's carved from the center in cricles out. Brillant..
Mum lookin good with some gi-normous shark fins! Seafood in Sabah is freaking cheap!Coconut drink with shredded coconut meat! Refreshing..It was time for dinner again..so more food...(heh)

Australian fresh oysters!
Fried Kung Pao mussels!
Cheese fried lobster! 10/10!! Even saved a spoonful of it with loads of sauce..yum..
Black pepper prawns..Swiped clean with piles and piles of shells. the one with the most tissue was mine! heh..After lunch, it was time for a stroll for our bloated stomach. There was a street beside our hotel that sells loads of fakies!
LV, Gucci, Christian Dior, Chanel, u name it, they have it.
Spastic brother with a pair of pink chanel shades.. jackass! ok, he's not spastic.
More fakies!
Pasar malam starting early. we were supposed to go for dinner. but mum and dad couldnt resist buying..

And finally dinner (seafood):Lobsters!!

cooked in thickened stock! yummy.. ordered other dishes as well. No offense but at the end of the trip, we were all quite sick of seafood. 3 meals of hardcore seafood in 1.5 days. Heh..

Anyone wanna go Sabah?
