Valentine's Day
It was an extremely hot day.. That wasn't the best beginning for a special day for two people. Why? Because we were both very snappy as the weather adds on to any small tension between us. The posts which i made on Feb 14 (below) was when she was having her lessons in school. I was waiting for her to end lessons then we head on to msia for the celebration. We were planning to go to msia right after her lessons ends. So she was 'supposed' to bring all her clothes and stuffs with her. But guess what? the typical moomoocow forgot her dress! So I, being the nice one..had to go all the back to her place, just to get her skirt..(keep in mind the weather on that day..)
Not everything went our way after her lessons ended. I made reservations at 730pm, and by the time we got to msia custom, it was already 645pm. Actually, i 'met' my brother at msia custom (without knowing that he already saw us at singapore custom -make sense?-). Well, we took a cab together back home, and guess what? Of all timing, it had to be the best time for a jam.. Brother was nice..he called mum to ask for the number for the phone directory. After that call, he made a call to Mutiara Hotel so that i could call and delay my reservation. All thanks to him that i made my reservation to 8pm.
Reached my place, shower as quickly as possible..Dad drove the mercs out (which has the 'P' sign - means still under probation *probation ends on 24th Feb 06). So i drove his Honda out..which wasnt according to my plan. But it felt safer as we'll be going for a midnight movie after dinner. There was still ample time before we leave for Capri..
When we reached there, we were presented with this hearty menu.. Well, i expected they will have the normal menu so that i could let her try one of the rib eye with pasta and we could still ordered the broccoli soup which was yummy.
Just one question: Have you guys ever been to places where once u stepped into the restaurant, they will only ask u: beef or fish? Well, this was it.. There were actually only two choices. It was a 5-course dinner. RM199++ per couple. Considering that it was sort of a 'farewell' dinner for me as well, it was worth the money.
The appetizer. Everything on it was marvelous..What was left of the trios..Work of huiwen using the deco (rose petals) to make a heart on the table while waiting for food..
Sorbet.. This actually tasted quite nice. This was before main course. and guess what.. We were too impatient on attacking the main course that we forgot to save a picture of the main course..argh..
Poached pear with strawberry cake. 6/10. Not as good as i though.
The lady (huiwen) was presented with a box of chocolate during tead/coffee. The box was actually made out of sugar (and huiwen went to taste it. yuck...I wonder who are the people who manufactured the box! what if they dig their nose or wipe their mucus and got it onto the box as well)
After dinner, we head on to city sq to buy tickets.. Decided to watch The Descent. There was still alot of time before the movie started so we went to Danga Bay for a walk. At the same time, to digest our food.
The Descent wasn't exactly a very good choice. It wasn't a bad movie but it was freaky. There were still alot of people even though it was a midnight movie (guess more and more malaysian have higher spending power nowadays). Whole show was freaky throughout, and it ended quite abruptly without telling u what exactly happened.
Seems like there wasn't enough excitement yet until we got home. I forgot my keys! damn it.. it was already 3am and everyone was asleep. I had to drive out to find a public phone and called home to wake my dad up. Felt so bad. But i enjoyed my day alot.. love u baby..
